ARCO-Transparency CD (Pehr/PEHR020) $17.50 Lovely 10 track collection of this London, England trio’s singles circa 1998-2001. The follow up to their popular 2001 full length debut, Coming To Terms. Gentle and tragic, they have been rightfully compared to Red House Painters, Belle & Sebastian, Low and Elliott Smith, though only for their miserablist tone and bleak pace rather than any tepid copycatting. "Stops me dead in my tracks … put on when you've come home from a horrible day and you want to hide from the world … I could live with this record." - The Exclusive. "A narcoleptic whisper, a heartbroken lullaby, a last, sad dance with Red House Painters on the jukebox. Unexpected treasure." - Melody Maker. "This slow, miserable record - which sounds like it was bullied at school by the first Belle & Sebastian album and is probably riddled with asthma and rickets - is actually rather t'riffic." - New Music Express. Sadly perfect. UPC:6 76347 70202 2

DENIZ TEK AND THE GOLDEN BREED-Glass Eye World CD (Career/CDS8247) $16.99 Deniz Tek of course, is the founder and guitarist of Radio Birdman, arguably Australia’s most important band, not just from the 70’s, but ever. Career Records is the new label started by Deniz Tek and Ron Sanchez (of Donovan’s Brain). This album continues the Tek Australian rock tradition, with the R Birdman guitar heritage obvious and apparent, with impassioned songs delivered garage and UK anthem punk style. Nothing fancy, just a solid rock album from a legendary artist you expect nothing less from. For fans of Radio Birdman, New Christs, Stooges, MC5, Citadel Records, etc. UPC:7 75020 46952 5

DONOVAN'S BRAIN-The Great Leap Forward CD (Career/CDS7208) $16.99 Fourth and definitive album from this Montana garage/psych collective featuring the Career Records partners Ron Sanchez and Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman). Extended spacey excursions and psychedelic garage pop…mighty fine old guy with a clue rock. Not entirely dissimilar to Outrageous Cherry or GBV, early Pink Floyd, or those two great psychedelic late 60’s Hollies records (Butterfly and Evolution). Previous albums on Get Hip. UPC:7 75020 46962 4

V/A-I SAID SOMETIMES! A TRIBUTE TO BUM CD (Magic Teeth/MTR006) $11.99 “Power pop punk rock from the west coast of Canada! Mix the Ramones, Redd Kross, the Descendents with some broken hearts and a love of rock and roll and you get…BUM! In historical terms of the Victoria, BC, Canada music scene, Bum will fit in as the 90’s leaders and chief exports; taking over for Nomeansno and handing off the baton to Hot Hot Heat. Of course they have no real similarity to either, as they mined a turf of uber catchy and energetic garage pop punk along the lines of Screeching Weasel, back in the day when the genre “pop punk” didn’t mean you were a jock or frat boy more interested in spring break, kicking heads, Epitaph and the mall. Bum put out a number of quality rockin’ releases on such respected labels as Lance Rock, Popllama, Au Go-Go, 1 + 2, Munster, Impossible, Lucky, One Louder, Top Drawer, First Strike, & Magic Teeth. This tribute has bands in the Bum tradition (Stand GT, Fastback! s, Mach Pelican, Chick Magnets) alongside a more diverse collection of singers/songwriters and artists like Carolyn Mark, Lisa Marr Experiment, the Crusties, Run Chico Run, the Spinoffs, Scott Henderson, Jim Bryson, Marcus Pollard, and a handful of lesser knowns. The end result is that the songs of Bum’s Andrew Molloy and Rob Nesbitt are exposed as strong and worthy of a variety of treatments. no UPC

THE AMBER ROOM-The Price of Peace CDEP (Amber Room/AR001) $8.99 The band reference the ballpark (or is that soccer-field?) influences of Radiohead, Doves, Placebo, Sigur Ros. I’ll vouch for all that and throw in some Sonic Youth and Redd Kross, too. Namesaked after the 18th Century Russian architecture and design masterwork that was destroyed by the Nazi’s in WWII and is about to be re-opened in all its glory, this Vancouver combo capture all the grace and melancholic beauty of that very thing on this, their debut EP. Pretty damn nice. Follow up full-length in the works. no UPC

THE HYPNOMEN-Altamont Boogaloo 7” (Gearhead/RPM037) $5.99 “First 500 maroon vinyl. The kings of Finnish fuzzed-out biker psyche are back for another wild ride - straight to the heart of 1969, creating the perfect soundtrack for one memorable sun-drenched, acid-soaked day at Altamont Speedway, just 33 years too late... or are they? Their version of "Shake" keeps the party going even if some Gremmie "harshed your mellow." Tune in - and drop way, way out. Pressed on maroon wax that's guaranteed to provide enlightenment if you stare at it long enough... shake and bake, baby.”

THE MAGGOTS-Let’s Go In 69 7” (Gearhead/RPM038) $5.99 “First 500 clear red vinyl. Another trip to the decade of decadence, and you don't need a time machine to get there... just slap on this red vinyl slab of authentic garage mayhem and groove like you haven't since you first raided your pal's Pebbles collection. Stockholm Sweden's garage scene has been churning out greatness with the reliability of a Volvo forever, and The Maggots are currently on top of that heap. Countless releases all over Scandinavia earned them mucho respect, and now they are ready to spread like, well, Maggots in America as well. To celebrate their first Stateside release, the boys unleash a rockabilly flavored blowout B-side, giving us Yanks a taste of our own medicine. Pepto-bismol never tasted this good.”

THE DEMONICS-Dune Buggy Gang 7” (Gearhead/RPM039) $5.99 “The third trip in our re-visitation of 60's reverberation is served up the Bay Area's beloved Demonics. They sang about muscle cars, they sang about cycles, and now have turned their (tunnel) vision to the beaches of the "left" coast. But this is no Jan and Dean fantasy fare, "California Nightmare" it's a contemporary homage to the dream we continually perpetuate, as well as a eulogy for a California gone by. "Mavericks" gives Dick Dale and Co. and run for their money, and "Dune Buggy Gang" brings the fun of riding through Death Valley in stolen buggy's right into your living room. Charlie Manson never had this much fun.”

NO NECK BLUES BAND-Intonomancy CD (S@1/64) $18.50 Further proof that NNCK are serious about the incandescence of their mission comes with their second digitally recorded LP. The collective builds upon ethnic recordings and American Primitive while deconstructing rigid traditions. Beholden to no particular movement, this music could be anything. Truly gorgeous new album from the preeminent NYC hippie communal sound artistes. Dripping tip tap percussion underlying melodic noodling nonsense. Beautiful bye byes.

NO NECK BLUES BAND-Sticks And Stones Will Break My Bones But Names Will Never Hurt Me CD (S@1/50) $16.99 Jewel-cased with metallic-ink cover reissue (at a much better price!) of the out of print Revenant release. “No-Neck Blues Band were Revenant-founder, the late John Fahey's, favorite band, and it's too bad he didn't live to see the release of this next edition in No-Neck Blues Band's catalog. For the uninitiated, the band hails from Manhattan, upper and lower, and is comprised of mostly hirsute men and women who have nothing whatsoever to do with any blues you might be thinking of. They are mysterious (no one knows exactly how many recordings they've issued, though this is their third CD), they don't draw attention to themselves, and they are awesome. Their music can be loosely described, and was in their press release, as "often stumbling into a groove as irresistible as the swamp-choogle of vintage Creedence. Blues for fans of Beefheart, early Royal Trux, Dock Boggs, ! and Heliocentric Worlds-era Sun Ra." But just as often, it drifts into ghostly trancelike moments where rhythms and riffs turn around on each other in a spare, spacious hoodoo mix that is as sparse as dust and sounds like the players have been indulging in its use. Improv and groove slither and snake around one another, whispering their bliss with guitars, various drums, flutes, whistles, horns, and wanton bass.”-All Music Guide

TOBIN SPROUT-Lost Planets & Phantom Voices LP (Recordhead/LUNA64) $24.50 Now available on limited edition LP on orange vinyl with an embossed sleeve. A pretty nice, subdued pop record from this ex-GBVer. CD in stock too.

FORCE FIELD-Lord of the Rings Modulator 2LP/CD (Bulb/BLB087) $20.99/18.50 Right on the heels of their recent full length debut on Load, 31 tracks/71 minutes of absurdist synth mindfuck, the sort of which is making art geniuses to hardcore kids drool all over themselves in the wake of Black Dice. The problem with these times are that this once would’ve been an easy ticket to clearing a room but now all the assholes you want to leave will sit around getting analytical and shit and wasting even more of your life. 2LP ltd to 500. UPC:6 15187 10872 4

THE D4-6Twenty LP (Flying Nun/FN449) $18.50 The other New Zealand rock revivalists. These boys have already hit Vancouver twice (including last weekend). FREDDY & THE FOUR-GONE CONCLUSIONS-Wigged Out Sounds LP (Get Hip/GH1110) $12.50 “Freddy Fortune, of Fortune & Maltese fame, has recruited a band of Detroit cream of the crop vintage garage players, for his latest project. Their debut album is full of wonderful jangly rhythms, beautiful harmonies, pretty songs and full-on Garage sounds mastered after years of on and off performing and recording. Detroit Garage royalty and the best Beat in the midwest!”

MONDO TOPLESS-Go Fast! LP (Get Hip/GH1107) $12.50 Now available on LP, CD in stock. 15 organ fueled, garage rock party tracks.

VAN DYKE PARKS-Song Cycle 180g LP (Sundazed/LP5140) $23.50 A must own classic of outsider pop genius. “Van Dyke Parks' visionary 1968 debut, Song Cycle, rose phoenix-like from the ashes of his fabled Smile collaboration with Brian Wilson. Parks' breathtaking high-wire act fused the pop genius of Phil Spector, Stephen Sondheim’s Broadway vertigo and the orchestral flare of American composer Charles Ives and made it wholly his own.” Exact reproduction, from the original analog masters on audiophile 180 gram vinyl.

VAN DYKE PARKS-Discover America 180g LP (Sundazed/LP5141) $23.50 Full of steel drums and oddness, indie rockers who cherished the Red Krayola revival and other such Chicago label antics need this. “By 1972, Discover America had turned its kaleidoscopic gaze to the 1940's martini-and-rhumba world of Hemingway's Caribbean sojourn, further validating Parks' idiosyncratic genius.” Exact reproduction, from the original analog masters on audiophile 180 gram vinyl.

THE GENTLE SOUL-s/t CD (Sundazed/SC11123) $20.99 “The Gentle Soul, with their beguiling blend of sunshine pop and folk-psych, spotlighting the ethereal harmonies of Pamela Polland and Rick Stanley, recorded just one album and a handful of singles, now highly sought-after and regarded as some of the most perfectly realized gems from the groundbreaking LA folk-rock scene that also embraced the Byrds, Tim Buckley and Buffalo Springfield. The Gentle Soul's Terry Melcher-produced debut, with a band including Ry Cooder, Van Dyke Parks, Larry Knechtel, and Mike Deasy, remains a rare treasure from California's golden age of mind expansion. Reissued with the full participation of Pamela Polland and Rick Stanley, The Gentle Soul features their exceedingly scarce original 1968 Epic Records album, plus nine bonus tracks, incl all non-LP single sides and four previously unissued tracks, and unpublished photos from the group's archives.” UPC:0 90771 11232 3

THE CYRKLE-The Minx Soundtrack CD (Sundazed/SC11106) $20.99 “A highly-sought-after collector's item, The Minx soundtrack is full of the Cyrkle's trademark three-part harmonies, intricate arrangements, and paisley-psychedelic sounds (the percussion intro of "Nicole" has become a break-beat classic). Recorded in 1967, following the Cyrkle's pop chart success with Paul Simon's "Red Rubber Ball" and their own "Turn-Down Day", and shelved until the film's release two years later, The Minx has eluded the grasp of even the most dedicated Cyrkle fan, until now.” First-ever legit reissue, from the long-lost master tapes with eight bonus tracks, seven previously unissued, plus liner notes based on new interviews with the Cyrkle's Tom Dawes, Don Dannemann, and Marty Fried. UPC:0 90771 11062 6

FEARLESS FREEP-Go Cry CD (Mag Wheel/MAG036) $15.50 Album number three by Montreal’s Fearless Freep was bankrolled by coin pocketed as a result of their track “It’s All Good” being commissioned as the musical backdrop for the opening scene on the premier episode of Fox TV’s Emmy winning show 24. While we are talking murky celebrity connections let’s further the equation by pointing out that Freep singer Robert John is the 4th cousin of actor/son of Donald/Grifters lookalike Keifer Sutherland. Lazy and loud indie rock, full of passion, hope… delivered with honesty and depth. “An indie-rock milestone of low light inventiveness and slow burn creativity…where infectious melodies emerge from barren effortless places.” UPC: 6 20953 05832 5

THE ASHTRAY HEARTS-Old Numbers CD (X-Country/1090) $18.99 Minneapolis country rock/Americana that has received a feature in No Depression and radio play on both sides of the Atlantic. CRUDE-Immortality LP/CD (Deranged/DY32) $13.99/14.99 “Crude’s fourth full length. Immortality compiles the band’s best songs to date (chosen by the band from past releases) on one monster release and confidently establishes this band as one of the top traditional Japanese hardcore bands of the past decade. This is pure ‘Burning Spirit’ hardcore at its best. Top notch musicianship (tight, fast, well constructed and catchy as hell) and perfectly delivered aggro-vocals makes this a sure pleasure for anyone craving blazing solid Japanese hardcore. Fans of Warhead, Forward, Bastard, Gauze and other such classic outfits should take note.” CD limited to 300 copies with a different art and on an acetate cover.

THE EXPLODING HEARTS-Guitar Romantic CD (Dirtnap/ZZZ29) $17.99 Jeffy loves these Portland youngsters and their Clash (Mick Jones vocals) and Generation X sound and after spending days with their songs in my head I have to admit that, as with The Briefs, he’s right. Pretty much a must if you have a thing for tuneful 70’s punk and/or powerpop. The CD of the Screaming Apple LP (we’ll get more). UPC:8 21970 00292 0

THE TRIGGERS-Shoot Your Mouth Off LP/CD (Dirtnap/ZZZ30) $14.50/17.99 Early 80’s style punk with femme vocals. “Think if The Avengers had come out in '81 instead of '77, only better!” From Portland, with three 7”s and on the recent Dirtnap comp. Jeffy says they’re good live. I say they’re no Avengers, but who is. UPC:8 21970 00302 6

THE KINGS OF NUTHIN-Fight Songs LP (Dr Strange/DSR9015) $12.99 Ltd ed color vinyl version of the Disaster CD, with bonus track. Ol-timey rock by punks, vastly superior to ska punk and Pogues-alikes.

CHROMATICS-Chrome Rats vs Basement Ruts LP/CD (GSL/GSL59) $12.50/17.50 “Thirteen hi-fi tracks of writhing, claustrophobic venom that recall all the things we love about Screamers, The Fall, Mecca Normal, and Joy Division while forging genuinely provocative new ground. Adam handles vocals on most tracks, but drummer Hannah, bassist Michelle, and guitarist Devin also contribute here and there, underscoring the band's obvious gender-matching as well as their socio-political concerns. (T)he evolution of Soiled Doves, a short-lived Seattle band featuring Adam, Hannah, and Devin, as well as Blood Brothers co-vocalist Johnny Vade.” Somehow I could just tell that this was set to ring the Douggernaut’s bell. UPC:6 13505 00592 2

ESTER DRANG-Infinite Keys CD (Jade Tree/JT1082) $17.99 Their second full length and Jade Tree debut. “Cinematically inspired and atmospheric, it is a spectral wall of sound that reaches out in several directions at once without losing its central focus, emanating a feeling of timelessness that melds well with its psychedelic elements reminiscent of Spiritualized, Grandaddy and fellow Oklahoman's The Flaming Lips.” Hmm, well they do go for that whole dreamy thing.UPC:7 92258 10822 4

DAVID SINGER & THE SWEET SCIENCE-Civil Wars CD (Deep Elm/DER421) $20.50 “Singer’s heartfelt rock confessionals are an open dialogue of orchestral pop, fresh melodicism and mesmerizing poetry. This highly accomplished collection of soothing, piano driven ballads and intellectual rockers simply defies most categories.” Uh, can get way too close to aping Elliott Smith’s delivery, then sounds like an unintentionally funny Ben Folds or, the Capt. offers, “As if Randy Newman’s son had a lobotomy.” Of course, we can be a little harsh. UPC:6 01137 04212 5

THE TOSSERS-Purgatory CD (Thick/TCK087) $20.50 “Chicago’s answer to Los Angeles’ Flogging Molly and Boston’s Dropkick Murphys. The Tossers are the perfect Irish hybrid. Influenced by Shane McGowan & the Pogues in more than a few ways, The Tossers unique brand of Irish music is loaded with attitude and alcohol.” 16 tracks/69 minutes. THE SEARCHERS-Meet The Searchers 180g LP (Get Back/GET625) $20.99 In stock Monday “Perhaps their biggest misfortune was being from Liverpool, because it meant that they would always stand in the shadow of their more famous cousins. However, the Searchers managed to take that original 1960s "Liverpool Sound" and made it their own, knocking the Beatles out of the number 1 spot with the release of their first single "Sweets For My Sweet" in 1963. Meet The Searchers (originally released on Pye in 1964), is the Searchers' first LP, and includes their what would become their most famous song "Needles & Pins". The album, however, had the bad luck of being released at the same time as their old rivals' Please Please Please, which arguably was all that kept Meet The Searchers from claiming the #1 spot in the album charts.”

V/A-THE DAWN TAKE AWAY CONCERT 180g LP (Get Back/GET626) $20.99 In stock Monday “Reissue of the ultra rare compilation, originally released in 1971 on Dawn Records to promote the label's artists. MUSHROOM WITH GARY FLOYD-Mad Dogs and San Franciscans CD (Black Beauty/BB72003) $19.99 “The Fillmore West meets Superfly when psychedelic jazz-rock groovers Mushroom join blues/punk powerhouse vocalist Gary Floyd (Sister Double Happiness, Dicks) to explore twisted soulful space-rock songs by Curtis Mayfield, Leon Russell, The Who, Steppenwolf, Clarence Carter, Joe Cocker, Spencer Davis Group & Spirit. Snake guitars, tribal percussion, swamp piano, Memphis horns, foxy backing vocals, & cosmic sounds fueled by Floyd's dynamic belting ability makes for an incomparable return of The Pusher man and a time when even the Beatles had beards.” UPC:6 46315 20032 4

DEERHOOF-Apple ‘O’ CD (KillRockStars) $20.99 Alright, time to dust off the panda-bear suit and prepare for an evening of wining and dining with your favorite dance partner a la Sid ‘n Marty Croft-wave-your-pink-tambourine-in-the-air-via-crotch-style. Last album, ‘Reveille’ slapped some life into more than a few of you (ie: sales) and I expect this newest full-length to follow the ways of the last monkey given the fact that ‘Garage’ is the new ‘Arena’ rock and once the white folk learn how to shake their collective asses again, (you know, dance?) sure ‘nuff, bands like Erase Errata, Lightning Bolt, !!!, Deerhoof and similar underground afficiandos will lend some helpful insight as to why James Brown is a God. It’s time to fuck people.

MAD CADDIES-Just One More LP/CD (Fat Wreck Chords) $13.99/ $19.99 Hmm…booze. Album number 4 from these Santa Barbara, California tour-machines is now ready for consumption by the always-wanting public. Let’s throw a smidgen of Reggae and Dixieland into the ‘Punk’ mix to secure the party atmosphere we so desire upon barfing onto our best bud’s leather jacket or gettin’ all jealous and tight-lipped with our over-flirtatious girl/boy-friend!…gee, all the high-school drama I miss out on because of my hermit-ridden disdain for the human-race.

AND YOU WILL KNOW US BY THE TRAIL OF DEAD-The Secret Of Elena’s Tomb CDEP (Interscope) $10.99 Brand new 5-song EP from the aggro-emo Texans to warm the hands and heart-strings with while y’all wait for the new full length. Smashing shit is fun.

THE WHITE STRIPES-Elephant CD (V2) The new album! It’s very good. In stock ‘Tuesday’…o.k.?….right?…sure thing then.

STEPHAN MATHIEU/EKKEHARD EHLERS-Heroin + Remixes 2LP/2CD (Orthlorng Musork/ORTH12) $19.99/22.50 Much anticipated, and very nice, remastered, reissue of this 2001 album with an additional LP/CD of remixes by by Josef Suchy, Nobukazu Takemura, Freiband, Kit Clayton, Christian Fennesz, Oren Ambarchi, Carmen Baier and Akira Rabelais. “Fifty minutes of the warmest sounds imaginable, it bears all the trademarks of its two collaborators: melodies distilled to their essence buried in gently crackling soundscapes; slowly unfolding musical journeys; and the unmistakably warm sounds of forgotten technologies - old amplifiers, hissing softly. Mathieu [Orthlorng Musork, Lucky Kitchen, Fallt] and Ehlers [Staubgold, Mille Plateaux, Karaoke Kalk] have been slowly, but surely establishing themselves as innovators within the fields of music and sound design, their solo works have been rewarded with generous praise and both have been shortlisted in numerous playlists (Mathieu's frequencyLib ! and Ehlers' Plays Albert Ayler being shortlisted in The Wire's "2001 Rewind" list). Heroin affords the opportunity to experience their talents combined and the results are a rare joy to experience.” Gatefold sleeve LP and gatefold digipack CD. no UPC

LALI PUNA/ISAN-Common Ground/Little Boy Sitting Up In Bed Looking At The Moon 7" (Unhip/UNHIP2) $10.99 Both tracks are new and exclusive to this single!! Don’t walk now…

CONSOLE-Reset The Preset 2LP (Virgin Germany/724354399619) $28.99 In comparison to earlier releases, Console’s sound has become more melodic and plausible without losing the familiar and unique feel. Martin Gretschmann, head of Console and an active member of The Notwist, originally established himself by doing remixes for Bjork, A-Ha, and Depeche Mode. Console's first official album since "rocket in the pocket". This release is split in two independent records. the first one sounds like the typical classic Console-ambient-style - the other one is a electro-pop-record with female vocals which perhaps is the new Console-style...

TELEVISION SET-Telegen EP LP (Genetic/GEN009) $15.99 This record is a collaboration between Roger Semsroth (Skanfrom) and Stefan Metzger (Television Set). the tracks were produced during Skanfrom’s last stay in Germany. Also included is a bonus enhanced CDR with new music and video. "Black" offers 2 sidelong tracks (and one short epilogue) of minimalist aggression. The bonus audio on the CD could be an alternative soundtrack to Blade Runner.

THE ABRASION ENSEMBLE-Music For The Same 500 People CD (Beta Lactam Ring/MT009) $17.50 This is the group's debut CD and is 5 years in the making. Originally released with slightly different material in 1999 (in a limited edition of 50 copies with hand painted covers by Rick Reed that are now collectors items) is a classic 'Texas' take on European free improv.

DON CARLOS-Groove With Me LP (Get Back/GET909) $14.99 In stock Monday. “Before going on to pursue a successful solo career, Don Carlos began his vocal career in the early seventies as one of the original members of the roots reggae group Black Uhuru. This collection, recorded in the late eighties with producer Bunny Lee, masterfully captures Carlos' melodic roots vocal style, which accompanied by the all-star back up performances by Sly & Robbie and the Aggrovators, packs a solid one-two punch. Feat the classic "Laser Beam", "Spread Out", "Ababa John I", and the excellent title track. This is the talented Don Carlos at his peak.”

LEE DORSEY-The New 180g LP (Get Back/GET8025) $20.99 In stock Monday. “R&B legend Lee Dorsey left boxing and began his musical career after he had the good fortune to meet songwriter/arranger Allen Toussaint at a party in the early sixties. His first hit single, "Ya Ya", released in 1961, hit number 7 on the music charts and throughout the decade Dorsey produced several more, including several found on this 1966 LP, "Working In A Coalmine". "Holy Cow", and "Ride Your Pony".”

RALPH CARNEY-This Is! CD (Black Beauty/BB72001) $19.99 “Imagine Roland Kirk, Capt. Beefhart, & Dan Hicks getting together for a 1970's jam with Brian Eno producing. Here's the third solo album from a multi-instrumentalist/horn player who has spent the better part of the last two decades criss-crossing the world, on stage and in studios with the likes of Tom Waits, William Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg, B-52's, Marc Ribot, Bill Laswell, Hal Wilner, Pere Ubu's David Thomas, Elvis Costello, Tipsy, Galaxie 500, Daevid Allen of Gong, Jonathan Richman, and contributor to movie soundtracks of David Lynch & Jim Jarmusch. On (this) new CD he's the only performer and while saxophone is his primary instrument, he also sings and plays clarinet, pan pipes, Jews harp, musical saw, keyboards, guitar, percussion and lots more by overdubbing himself to produce some of the most fun music you're likely to hear anywhere. Ralph references old time traditional music forms such as swing and folk m! usic - and there's certainly modern avant garde influences for those paying attention, but it's all delivered in a non-pretentious style like the background for a Saturday morning cartoon.” UPC:6 46315 20012 6
